PhD Researcher - studying future scenarios for British carnivore species, using a mixed methods approach to investigate the emerging ecological and socio-political factors affecting both the recovery of these species and the dynamics of their long-term co-existence with humans. The research is in partnership with Vincent Wildlife Trust, and straddles both the Human Geography and Ecology departments.
Previous research includes an undergraduate dissertation study of the carbon sequestration potential within the Eurasian beaver engineered habitats at the Cornwall Beaver Project, as well as significant contributions to various human-wildlife conflict research projects focused on chacma baboons, leopard and brown hyena, whilst on a year-long placement at Alldays Wildlife and Communities Research Centre, South Africa.
