About Me:

I am a second-year PhD student modelling the effect of warm climates on the Antarctic Ice Sheet.

My research is focused on how the Antarctic ice sheet responded to increased warming and raised CO2 levels in the past and how this can help us better understand potential future changes due to increased greenhouse gas emissions. I am developing a new coupled ice sheet-climate model to study feedbacks that are usually missing from modelling studies. I will use the new model to explore the effect of warm climates on the Antarctic ice sheet and the subsequent effect of these changes in the ice sheet on climate during the Miocene Climatic Optimum and under projections of near-future climate.

I am supervised by Dr Ed Gasson and Dr Anne Le Brocq

Interests:

Outside of my research, I am involved in Inclusivity Matters! (an EDI project). I also sit on the RMets ECR SIG committee and INSTANT ECR committee.

Qualifications:

BSc Natural Sciences, The Open University

MSc Atmosphere, Ocean and Climate, University of Reading
