About me:

I'm currently working on my PhD in climate change narratives and storytelling, collaborating with the Eden Project and WenakLabs in Chad. The project aims to use participatory methods to co-create a pluralisation of climate change narratives around Lake Chad in alignment with broader de- and anti-colonial objectives, and is supported by the SWDTP studentship programme.

Interests:

I am interested in different forms of storytelling, such as comic strips, use of humour or illustration, and climate change narratives. I have also previously done research on the Beau Geste Press 1970s printing commune and I like artist's books, weird micro-editions and underground publications. In my non-worky life, I love surfing, planting billions of seeds and harvesting the one malformed aubergine I manage to produce, drawing and mucking about. I love spending time with my kids although I am kind of over making "yucky soups" now, as we head into the third year of its reign as Supreme Activity of Choice.

Qualifications:

I have a BA in English and French from the University of Warwick, an MA in Critical Writing in Art and Design from the Royal College of Art, and an MRes in Critical Human Geography from the University of Exeter, where I am also currently working on my PhD.

Career:

I have worked as a freelance researcher and writer for contemporary art museums and literary archives. I have also worked as part of the creative team at the Eden Project for the last seven years, focusing on experience design for the international sites. I also freelance illustrate and translate (French to English) and have some experience of interpretation (EN-FR and FR-EN) too.
