About me:

I enjoy the outdoor life, which is an important part of living in Cornwall, England. I began walking, climbing and mountaineering in my teens and these interests ended up influencing my choice of university degree and research interests. My Phd studied a tectonically active mountain range in southern Spain and my postdoctoral research involved 'growing' miniature mountains in a laboratory. Since moving to Cornwall and setting up the Environmental Science programme my interests have broadened to encompass landscape studies in its many forms. This includes landscape recovery in Dartmoor and further afield.

Qualifications:

BSc (UCC, Ireland),
PhD (Glasgow, Scotland)
