Jamie is a PhD student within Camborne School of Mines (CSM), part of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Penryn Campus, Cornwall.
He is studying the processes controlling mineralisation at the Monte Muambe Carbonatite complex, part of the Chilwa Alkaline Province in Mozambique. He is currently researching the styles and processes of Rare Earth Element (REE), fluorite, and gallium enrichment within the carbonatite complex and associated rocks.
Jamie is primarily supervised by Dr Sam Broom-Fendley (University of Exeter), alongside Professor Frances Wall (University of Exeter), Cedric Simonet (Altona Rare Earths), and Yannick Buret (Natural History Museum)
Jamie is funded by a PhD Studentship from the NERC GW4+ Doctoral Training Partnership and by his Case Partner, Altona Rare Earths.
