Mr Craig Withers

I am a geoscientist with dual MSc qualifications in theoretical geomodelling from Durham and critical minerals exploration from Camborne School of Mines, University of Exeter. My academic work is diverse, ranging from numerical modelling of complex geological problems, extensive field campaigns for primary resource exploration, to the recovery of critical raw materials from secondary sources in electronic waste.

I currently support the UK International Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Resource Management in the Circular Economy (UK ICE-SRM CE) as Impact and Partnership Development Officer (IPDO), contributing to strategic research, stakeholder engagement, and the integration of UN-aligned sustainability frameworks into policy, industry and teaching.

I bring experience in circular economy analysis, waste infrastructure mapping, and the practical application of critical minerals strategies across primary and secondary supply chains.
