Mining and Minerals
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher with a basic Mining Engineering degree from the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar, Pakistan and PhD from the University of Exeter, specializing in resource modelling, geostatistics, and the application of machine learning in mining and geosciences. With over 14 years of teaching and research experience at the University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan, I developed expertise in geostatistical and AI-driven mineral resource modelling, lithological mapping, production scheduling, and data mining solutions for the mining industry. As a postdoctoral researcher at the Camborne School of Mines, University of Exeter, I am working with Prof. Julian Ortiz, and Mark Cuifani / Anglo American Chair in Mining Innovation at Camborne School of Mines. My research focuses on predictive geometallurgy and integrating geometallurgy into resource modelling and production scheduling to promote sustainable practices in the mining value chain.
