Dr Longxiang Zhao joined the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy, University of Exeter, in July 2024, working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow as part of the QUEX Strategic Grant: ‘Resourcing Decarbonisation: The circular economics of climate-induced innovation in mining regions’.
Longxiang previously held posts as a Research Associate in Sustainable Accounting & Finance at Loughborough University as part of the Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Centre for Mineral-based Construction Materials (ICEC-MCM) being funded by UKRI, conducted research on enabling capital investment into mineral-based construction materials circularity.
Longxiang also has research interests in biodiversity/extinction accounting and accountability. His PhD thesis focused on biodiversity accounting and accountability in a Chinese context.
