Madhu Ardhanari
Postgraduate Researcher
Mining and Minerals
Madhu is a QUEX scholar exploring the co-production of ore-sand from critical minerals, thereby understanding key barriers and pathways towards a paradigm shift in closed loop innovations. She is also focused on using life cycle assessment methodologies, particularly social metrics to improve accountability mechanisms in a just, low carbon transition.
She has 10 years of experience as a sustainability futurist in Southeast Asia advising businesses and building multi-stakeholder collaborations around complex sustainability challenges. Her research on narratives around land reclamation in Singapore, which relies on the ecologically and socially harmful practice of coastal and riverine sand dredging, informs her current research reimagining extractive practices and paradigms.
