Matthew is currently working as a Graduate Research Assistant on the Innovate UK CLIMATES programme-funded 'MineMT' project, with his research focussing on radioactivity in rare earth elements (REE) in order to help develop a life cycle sustainability assessment (LCSA) tool for companies to use to evaluate the environmental, criticality, and sustainability footprint of the rare earth permanent magnet (REPM) supply chain.
