Professor Tim Biggs

Tim is Professor of Practice in Management and Mining (part-time) and works to connect the technical disciplines of mining to the “business end” of mining.  He has worked at CSM since 2021.

Outside his work with CSM, Tim is an experienced company advisor, working in the mining industry.  His work includes the financial and valuation aspects of “asset reviews” for some of the world’s largest diversified mining houses.

Tim has recently finished writing his first book, “Mining – Why it’s essential for a sustainable future”, which will be published in the first half of 2025.

Until the end of 2020, Tim was a partner with Deloitte LLP, where he was the firm’s sector leader for Mining and Metals.  Tim is originally Australian and spent the first twenty years of his career with Deloitte in Brisbane and Adelaide, where he first started working with mining companies.
